1. Where is BSides Jacksonville this year?
This years event will be at the Adam W. Herbert University Center at The University of North Florida (UNF).
2. Will I need to pay for parking?
No. There is free parking (for event attendees only) at the front and back of the building, there are also multiple handicap accessible spots available.
3. Will there be food at the event?
Yes. If you purchased a lunch ticket with your registration there will be basic boxed lunch availible. This will be a sandwich/wrap, potato chips, cookie, and a canned soda.
4. What are some places to eat close to UNF?
UNF is located next to St. Johns Town Center so there are plenty of convenient options close to campus.
5. What is a Capture The Flag (CTF) competition?
There are a few different formats; however, one of the more popular ones is a Jeopardy style contest where teams compete against each other to solve technical puzzles in order to find “flags” and score points. Each challenge is an opportunity to learn a new skill or practice old ones while competing in various categories such as cryptography, forensics, programming, and steganography.
